Splash Sedums erupt into chunky coloured leaves in Spring and by mid-Summer an abundance of deliciously coloured buds in June…July and August see striking coloured flowers appear like ‘splashes’ of paint in your garden!
These are all compact , strongly coloured, cold hardy Splash Sedums for your Garden. They are succulent herbaceous perennials growing up to 30cm in height, with compact, creeping and trailing stems bearing chunky, rounded leaves and terminal clusters of starry, cherry coloured flowers smothering the plant below through to autumn.
At times the foliage is completely smothered by flowers….
SIZE: 30-40cm spread each year, retreating back each winter (as these herbaceous perennials do!).. …a super additions to a rock garden, container, basket or front of border.
The Splash selections of Stonecrop are excellent edging or rock garden plants, particularly for hot dry sites with poor soil. They are well-suited to growing in tubs or alpine trough gardens, walls or using as a small-area groundcover. Deciduous in winter, the stems should be trimmed back lightly in Autumn and again early spring .
Easy and well behaved….and fully frost hardy down to minus 20C so far

In Summary – Splash Sedums show off when they are needed most. They are compact and take care of themselves – watering is only needed in extreme drought and heat conditions. They have colourful, large flowers that last many weeks, and are a perfect compliment for edges, containers, gravel, scree….anywhere other plants seem to perish because of poor dry thin soil.
Keep at least semi-shaded, preferably sunny and they will shine for many years
