 It is  a compact mat forming semp which has thick fleshy leaved green rosettes with a red outer edge.  Green leaves flush pink in Spring. Flowers from July to august. It has white tips  like twinkling stars in the night sky  ( hence the name cassiopea)
Grow in full sun and well drained soil
Height of 5-10 cm and spread of 15-20 cm . Forms dense colonies by offsets
